This series of works will describe the issues existing in today’s society, currently being classified into three themes, namely magnolia flowers, flyers, and mass media. The works are presented in a near surrealist manner to reflect the activities and realistic status of the incidents, hoping to lead people’s involuntary concern over these events that often seem to be buried in dream-like imagination. In this circumstance, this narrative approach will also indirectly expose the sleeping imagery of the public. Everything is just like a dream and yet not too many people bother to wake up.
In some countries, the media has become a giant robot that gradually manipulates the thinking path of many people. Regardless whether or not the neutral extent of politics, the trueness of the report, the importance of the event, and the depth of the news, they have all mechanically fallen into a negative cycle. About the information-receiving part, the masses have turned into blind monsters and become an opposition collective consciousness among the people caused by frequent biased reports. Meanwhile, the rest of the people are been strictly examined by the monsters in disguise on every piece of news to prevent them from being re-manipulated by thought and becoming people that only follow others’ ideas. The picture shows the relationship status of today’s news media in society.
